Chavutti Thirumal - Indian Rope Massage
Chavutti Thirumal originated in South India and is
part of the
ancient Keralite method, rooted in Ayurveda and Yoga.
It is a deep
massage covering all the muscles and ligaments.
The
practitioner uses
a rope in order to balance and transfer their weight.
The feet glide over
the clients body as in a dance, using long sweeping
strokes to release
accumulated tension and varying pressure on energy
points and specific areas.
Separately covering the back, sides and front of the
body, this
technique creates a circuit of connecting energy
through Heaven,
Earth and Man, to which it is linked. Each movement
encourages the body to find its balance, enhances
well-being and brings with it a rare serenity.
